I'm putting a crimestopper RS4-G3 with a idatalink ADS-DLSL CA2 bypass module in this vehicle. The customer wants the heated seats to activate with the remote start. Has anyone attempted this on this vehicle?
I was thinking about using the (-) Ign from the r/s, energizing a relay, and triggering the appropriate wire at the switch if the factory heated seat circuit is latched or using the (-) start from the r/s if the factory circuit needs to see a pulse.
Is this possible or is it data at the switch? Any ideas?

Not sure if it necessarily means its data, but the Fortin Evo Can and Evo All both control the factory heated seats... and going by the description it says it controls them through Canbus. So whether the EVO just controls it through CAN or if they are only controlled by CAN I do not know... but you may want to look into switching to one of the EVO bypasses.

i know if you use the blade-al which is an ads-al-ca the heated seats turn on low automatically if the engine is at 0C or 32F under rs. the heated seats itself are low speed lan so you cant interface with it.
i would assume the dlsl ca2 is the same.
you could go the fortin route as well. cant go wring with either bypass module

Update: I talked to idatalink today and the ads-al-ca nor does any interface they make including the blade turn on the heated seats for this vehicles. They said they are engineering a T-Harness that will work for this particular vehicle that will supply that feature. Doesn't make much sense to me but ok.
