Hi can anyone tell me where i can the relay for the power windows (electric windows) on a 1996 citroen xantia 1.9 TD ?.

Either in the doors or possibly the BSI module, BTW if you don't have one touch close or total (comfort control) from the door key then there won't be a relay.

2, I believe 5 and 6 on the fascia fuse box, they are simply power switching relays, in other words direct battery feeds via a fuse and ignition to the coils.

Thankyou for your reply the car only has front electric windows there are two switches in the driverside door one for the passengerside door and one for the driverside which has a A on it which sends the d/s window up in one go is this what you mean by one touch ?.
I have looked at the wiring diagram and it shows a relay which i think is faulty as i have no power going to the switches can you explain in more detail where the relay or relays are or if possable send me a picture of it/them.

Fascia fuse box there will be two no 3 is the breaker relay (overload)
and number 6 is the switching relay.
Two fuses, 27 and 30.
Knowing the abominable build quality and awful wiring, my first port of call would be the driver's door entry tube. Open it up and look for wiring breaks.
