Do you need to power the key sense wire on this car for remote start? I see some sheets say yes and some say its not needed.

Also has anyone installed on this car and tripped an SRS light? I see that is also a common item on Volvo.

thanks

I have not done one myself, but DEI wiring says that it is required... and so far I've had pretty good luck with the DEI wiring being correct. But again, I can't say for 100% certainty.

As far as the SRS light, the only time I've ever set one off myself was if the ignition was powered up with ANY airbag component connector unplugged. As long as I was careful and made sure to never power up the ignition with any connectors unplugged, then I never had a problem. But again, I can't say anything for sure on that specific vehicle.

how is the key sense an output? Keysense is an input to see when the key is inserted into the cylinder. I can power it with a gar and relay but I want to make sure I am understanding properly.

your keysense wire is an output. use a relay, 86&87 to 12v, 30 to keysense, 85 to gwr.

And regardless of input / output, it is a + signal so you still need a relay to convert the - GWR output of the alarm to a + signal.
