When I purchased the car, it had a Viper 5301 installed. The unit didn't come with a key fob or anything so I purchased a replacement and finally got everything running/programmed. The only thing I am unsure of is comfort closure. I have a 2006 Honda Accord [AT] and the windows do roll up when I stick the key in the cylinder and hold it as if locking...but when I programmed CC On [using Menu 1, Feature 8, Options 2 AND 3] it still doesn't work.

Can I assume this means that it wasn't wired to do this? I apologize but have absolutely no knowledge of how the wiring works [I was able to get in panel to see what type of system I had as well as reset the immobilizer bypass but other than that...it's just a bunch of wires to me!] Are there any other options I need to mess with in order to get CC working?

Thanks for your help!!

if you want rollup to occur, you need to run 2 wires into the door and connect to the key cylinder lock.unlock wires. the previous installer probably used a data module for convenience which will not allow cc to work.

Thanks. One more quick question-should my Viper fob release the trunk while the car is remote started? I know I can't pop the trunk when the car is on normally, but you'd think I should be able to w/ the Viper fob. The trunk release does work via Viper fob when car is off...

Just seems silly I can't remote start the car from w/in grocery store, walk to trunk and load up...

Thanks!

maybe the installer did not connect the trunk pop. It will not pop if it was done through a data module. If you want it to work at all times, run a wire from the viper directly to the car.

But it does pop, just not while the engine is on?

The reason the trunk release does not work while the car is on, is because the bypass module is duplicating the codes sent by the factory alarm. To resolve this issue, you will need to gain access to the 5301 brain. locate the Trunk Release wire (-)

connect to a relay like so
85 - trunk release from 5301
86 - constant 12v
87 - constant 12v
30 - to trunk release wire on car
the trunk release wire is YELLOW /GREEN (+) at drivers kick, harness to the rear of vehicle.
