Subject: what’s the difference in dei brands?

Hey Guys.

I was wondering if someone can explain to me the differences between the DEI Brand of alarms and remote starts that share the same part number.  For example; what's the difference between a Python 413 (4103P), and Avital 4103, and a Viper 4103 (4103V)?  Is any one brand in particular made better than the others?

Thanks.

-Branond

nothing. the remote style is different and prices. most people usually go with avital for the price point.

essentially all the same as the post above mentioned. DEI says viper is their top of the line model, followed by Clifford, and python, but its just remote styles

They make them that way to get their product into different shops in the same area. Ex: Shop 1 sells Avital and Shop 2 sells Viper and shop 3 sells python. Since most of their lines are protected and require dealer buyins and what not, they can have 3 shops in the same part of town sell their stuff. Alot of the high end Viper, Python and Clifford are identical as well.

That's what I figured.  I noticed that all the control boxes looked the same with the only difference being the stick on labels and of course the remotes.

Thanks for the info guys.
