I am installing it on my 1988 Mercedes 300TE W124...
Viper 1002.
All I need is the keyless lock/unlock, nothing else.

This is how I have it wired up:

The light blinks when I arm (AND CHIRPS), and stops when I disarm (CHIRPS TWICE), and the doors lock/unlock as normal with the key, but the doors wont lock or unlock with the remote.

So I believe that is because I need to change the setting to the 3.5sec delay for the vacuum pump design.
But when I try to enter the learning mode, nothing happens. I hold down the valet wire button for 3sec and nothing happens...no chirps, nothing.

What's going on here??? Why won't it go into the learn mode so I can change it to the 3.5sec door lock pulse?

Is the green NEG door trigger wire connected?
Is your yellow ignition sense wire connected?

No it is not...

Is that why then?

I'll have to figure out what wire I need to tap to get the (-) door trigger then.

Thanks!

you need a door trigger and ignition source in order to enter programming mode.

you might want to check your wiring. i dont understand why you are interrupting the door trigger wire.

Or not connecting doors hood or trunk or ignition?
What's the point of installing it except to become an expensive keyless entry system.
