Ok guys, i thought I had finished installing my alpine 150R into my acura, so i reconnect the battery and connect the alarms power wire and it starts going nuts!  I hadn't even tripped anything.

I had tested a few things a while back (window mods on arm/aux channels) as well as doors/trunk/hood triggers...  Though today I hooked everything up and sodered everything.

So i figured it was on of the wires, so i double checked everything and cut on of em, when everything seemed fine I gave it power once more, again, it alarmed and I couldn't turn the damn thing off, either by the valet switch or transmitter!  I had to jank the power once more.

So again I checked everything and wanted to test things with the basic functionality.  I therefore took all the harnesses out of the brain and hooked up only the valet switch, led, ground and power.  Once the ground and power were in, again it started alarming and i couldn't stop it with the valet or the transmitter, again I had to pull the damn power.

Is there something wrong with my brain?  Why the hell is it going of when basically no triggers are connected and i can't stop it from alarming w/o yanking power?

Thanks for your help, it's driving me nuts!!!!!!!!!!!

Paul

A lot of alarms will trigger when power is applied. I'm not sure if that alarm has an external antenna or not, but if it does make sure its plugged in when you try to disarm it. Also, read in the manual on how to do the emergency override. Keep in mind you will probably need to have at least the door trigger, power, ground, ignition, and the antenna all connected.

Hey everyone :)

I have a quick question regarding window mods.  I've got everything hooked up and the basics work (windows up with arm, down with aux channel).  However I read a sweet post about hooking up your alarm warning output up to the window up input to close the windows if say the shock sensor or proximity sensor is tripped and I wanted to do this.

So I had hooked the alarm warning output to the window module up and of course it's not working because the window up of the module is alread attached to the alarm arm which is constant neg when alarm is armed, therefore if I open more negative from the warning output it does nothing.  When I first hooked it up i forgot that the alarm output is constantly negative when the alarm is armed.

How would someone hook the system up so that the windows still close when u hit arm AND will try to again roll up in a warning or alarming input from the alarm.

FYI, the alarm is the alpine 150r and the window modules are the 530 and 529 for sunroof.

I appreciate any advise, thanks!

I ended up using a douple pole relay and connecting the arm alarm output to the 30 & 87a and the outputs from the warning/alarming to the 86 with 12v+ to 85.  That way the always on when armed is open during out from the warn/alarm then closed when the pulse ends so they will try to go up again.

so now when you arm the car, the windows roll up.....but if you leave the windows down, and arm the car...and the alarm is triggered, the windows roll up?
