I have installed a dei remote starter, I can get it to start with key and remote using the flex relay but I can never get any power on the violet wire that is supposed to start the car. I actually went and bought a clifford 1.2 because I figure the viper was defective but it does the same thing. Maybe I should just install it with the flex relay but I really want to know what I am doing wrong.BTW I have power at the module for the RED / black wire (starter input) but with the key or remote never get power to the violet (starter output) wire

Okay I went home and did like you said soundnsecurity. It worked thank you. posted_image Now I get power to the ignition and start wires, but the ignition wire shuts down just prior to the start wire receiving power. Is there a way to keep the ignition wire charged the whole time it runs. I promise I am not a newb, I have never had this much trouble but this is my first DEI unit.

if you can give me a total run down of which wires from the alarm are connected to which wires on the car then i might be able to help you out a little better. but without knowing how you have this alarm wired then im just shooting in the dark trying to guess the problem.

you could have the ignition output wire programed to be an accessory so you might have to reprogram it to function as ignition.

Thank you soundnsecurity. You steered me in the right direction. I had placed the feed for the ign wire into the accessory wire. posted_image All it good, and everything works, thank you.
