Can a remote starter (Astrostart RSS2524) be used as a simple door intrusion alarm or do you need to connect it to an alarm module or OEM alarm. It seems like there should be a way to monitor the doors for intrusion and trigger the horn without the need for any additional hardware. Maybe there is no way to time it and shut it down once it is triggered.

Does it say anything about security on the box or in the instructions?
