Car is a 2004 Acura TSX, alarm is a DEI Automate alarm with engine starter but the engine started was never hooked up.

Alarm was working fine the past few years but all of a sudden it has the following problems:

1.) When I arm the alarm, it chirps two times indicating a door is open somewhere even though every thing is closed. I have locked myself in the car, arm the alarm, and open each door and trunk, all will set off the alarm.

2.) Doors won't lock now after engine start, use to lock when engine start.

3.) My interior dome light front and back don't work, suspect it has something to do with the alarm problems since it use too.

4.) Not sure if this is a coincidence but my wiper blades go medium speed even on the lowest setting.

Everything use to all work great the alarm decided to act up. Help?

I had a similar situation with my hyundai santa fe and a alarm/remote start. Half the car (right side) wouldnt work, none of the lights nothing and wouldnt lock alot of problems! What ended up happening was i brought it to the origional installer that was a shop where they let a bunch of stupid kids do the work. They (not surprisingly) coulndnt fix it. Then i brought it to the old timers shop in a couple of hours and 150$ later they found that they had poorly spliced the wires and some were grounding! That was the day when i said no one was working on my cars but me and i started doing all the work myself. And when you do it yourself all the screws get put back in the car too. This could very well be your problem as well, hope this Helps.
