Hello everyone,

Im new to this wonderful forum and looking for a bit of direction.
We recently installed an AC evaporator in a customer vehicle which required removing the dashboard. After completion, the alarm system is acting funny.

The problem is with the door locks. With the vehicle on or ignition in position 2, the door lock's lock/unlock with the remote just fine. Once you remove the key and get out of the vehicle, the alarm will arm/disarm, but the doors wont lock/unlock.

The alarm is a Hornet 553T with module DEI 455T. Remote start is equipped and functioning. The vehicle is a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Thanks in advance.

Im sorry, you can remove the key from the ignition and the locks still fucntion from the remote. It is once the door is opened, that they locks wont work from the remote.

Thanks again.

Solved. After probing the two wires that connect to the vehicle data bus with a test light, everything began to work fine. This was at the secondary module 455t vehicle interface. Maybe a loose pin connection. Not 100% sure, but definitely related to the data line at the door lock control module.

Cheers.
