So, I finally got my avital 3001l that I plan on installing into my car in a couple of weeks. Has anyone installed one of these into a neon? Any tips would help. Have the wiring diagram for what I needed. Just curious on if anyone did an install of these on this vehicle. A question that I have is that the "STOCK ALARM" has a light in the dash. I want to use this same light if possible.

To use the stock "alarm" indicator, would require desoldering, and resoldering the connections, from the dash pcb, to the aftermarket alarm's LED output. However I do not suggest doing this. You may find room in the cluster to mount the avital LED. That is a far better option. Hang tight someone will be along with more tips I am sure. posted_image

Yea, that's what I kinda figured. I was "hoping" it was going to be quick and easy thing to do, but I did kinda figured it was going to be integrated into the dash module.

Certain bypass modules will arm/disarm the factory alarm through the Avital as well as arm and disarm through the factory key fob, I know the FL-CAN (made by flashlogic) will do this.  If all else fails the Avital has it's own security light, I like to mount them in the pillar near the bottom of the windshield.
