I have an Ungo field sensor from the late 1990s I was thinking about installing while putting an alarm on a convertible. I can't find wiring info anywhere for this sensor though. It has 5 wires coming out: Red, White, Light Blue, Purple, and Green. I am assuming red is power, blue and green are negative triggers, purple is positive trigger, and white is ground - but that one's just a guess. Anyone have experience with this old Ungo part?

Place the red and black on a 12 volt power source and test with your DMM.

that's the thing......there IS no black wire. only the 5 I noted: red, white, blue, purple, green.

I do apologise, read it too fast.
OK strip it and look at the circuit board.
The "outside" track should be the ground. Trace it back to which coloured pin?

I was thinking the same. My initial speculation would be that blue and green are negative output triggers, and purple is positive. Hooked up with red to + and white to -, I didn't get the - signal I was looking for when I hooked green or blue up to the meter. the unit did light up, though. Had a solid red, and occasionally flashing green.

If you have it wired correctly with red and one other, it will go green from X distance away then as you get closer red the LED will light up.
Once you get to this situation, try metering the other wires.
Have you tried Googling it?

Yes, I tried googling it, but it does not state a model number anywhere, and I believe a lot of the Ungo stuff changed when they got new ownership 10 or so years ago. That's why I posted here, to see if maybe an install veteran remembered using one of them and what the wires were.

Sorry but they never got to the UK and anyway an old fart like me thought that ALL single zone had 3 wires and ALL dual zones 4.
