I am installing an alarm in my 1972 chevelle and want to hook the power door locks up to the alarm. I am not going to use the switches just the alarm. The car does not have any relays from the factory and the switch simply changes the polarity on each wire (2 wires)
IE
Lock
Red + Black -
Unlock
Red - Black +
Will a 451M work to do this? If so how would I hook it up I'm a little confused by the manual.

Yes the part where it says adding actuators, or assuming alarm has 2 lock out wires and they are both NEG, or if it's a DEI product, plug strait in, otherwise, alarm lock to thin green.
Alarm lock to thin blue.
Thin red, purple and purple black to constant 12V+ live.
WHITE/ black and BROWN / black to ground.
GREEN/ black and blue black to your motor wires.
There, simple.

Yes, those were the colours of the 451 or ALL DEI lock outputs last time I looked.
Purple, PURPLE / black = 87
GREEN/ black, blue/black = 30
WHITE/ black, BROWN / black = 87a
Thin red = 86
Thin green and thin blue = 85.

Thanks howie I'll see if I can pickup one locally (I used to have a few but they have disappeared and as soon as I buy one I'm sure I'll find them that's how it always works)

Probably doesn't make a huge difference but lt blue and lt green are 86 and lt red is 85. -------------

Wrong, they are negative, ISO convention makes 85 the neg and 86 the pos side of the coil. Mr.I can verify that.
But as you say, it doesn't matter any more (that one was for you Buddy).
