Possible starter wire short or blown fuses?
I've got an '07 Viper 160XVL Remote Starter in my '02 CRV (installed by Best Buy). No problems until yesterday (heat wave in NY), when I remote started CRV and then it abruptly shut-off.
Got into car & smelled electrical smell. Car won't start, engine doesn't turn over. Battery is OK. No dashboard indicator lights. Power windows won't work. Checked 15a ignition fuse, OK.
Tried overriding Kill Start w/Valet Button w/no luck. LED on Valet Button doesn't even light up.
Did the Viper remote start short out some wires because of the heat? Did I blow fuses?
I'm calling DEI now, but I'd appreciate any clues.

If you also haven't ACC and starter, check the 50 amp ignition supply fuse in the engine bay fuse box.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
