I have been doing remote starts using audiovox for about 6 years now. They have a 4 pin harness that gave you ground pulse before, during, after startup and after shut down.

With these pulses I could easily even on the 9056 model unlock/disarm the factory alarm, and relock/rearm the factory alarm with just those 2 wires functioning as negative door locks.

Problem is that we are switching to clifford systems and I can not figure out how to relock the doors after start. The rearm alarm wire GREEN/ black is the equivalent to the audiovox BLACK/ red after shutdown.

Is there another wire or option I am not seeing? I do have the DEI programmer.

To recap I need a wire on the newest clifford models (50.7x for ex.), that pulses after starting to allow me to relock and rearm the factory alarm.

There are many cases where the bypass gives you a separate disarm from unlock, but there are several that those 2 functions in the car are combined, and an audiovox unit would have no problem working the locks correctly.

Often times we use the purple negative starter wire to trigger the the locks after start.  Just make sure there is a diode on it or when you hit lock it may grind the starter if the heavy gauge start wire is connected to the vehicle.  I believe you can also program an aux to give you a  pulse after.  I use viper but it's all the same stuff.  My favorite part of those units is that they are very programmable.  My least favorite part is I always have trouble with them and fords.  It seems like they don't want to learn a tach wire.  Sometimes virtual tach isn't always reliable.  GREEN/ black should be factory alarm disarm.  GREEN / WHITE should be factory alarm rearm.  I believe GREEN / WHITE will only pulse after the remote start shuts down and when you press lock on the remote.

Yes they are identical to viper as far as I can tell. Problem is my customers are used to the auto relock feature, and I can not figure out how to make them relock.

So you are suggesting using the negative starter wire as a relock? I have tried that in the past with avox units with 0 success. Its seems as though most cars will not or can not respond to door lock signals during cranking. Likely due to little to no available amperage.

Yes I have had the tach learn issue on some of the newer fords as well. Luckily they have tip start and as long as the remote starter is happy everything works well.
