So I have been reading that you would need a relay to run the drivers door for a progressive unlock, but on my wiring diagram for my 2000 Forester, there is a wire for the lock motor and the lock switch.

Would it be possible to run the wire from my Python 574 that is the unlock to the drivers door switch, then run Aux 1 to the unlock all doors without using a relay?

I would assume the car has a relay already, and that's why I would guess I can wire it to the switch. I might be backwards though...

I've just checked Directwire, it gives the standard configuration of driver's motor unlock wire and relay.
Why don't you test the suspect wire, then you will know and let us know.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

I had to send my unit back to get it replaced under warranty. Once I get it back I'll give it a shot!
