Hello every one, after hours of googling and many links to this site I thought I'd register and ask for some help.
The itellistart on my DC5 keeps loosing its memory every time it the battery goes dead as it sits idle most of the time. I have now bought a float charger to that will fix that, anyway.....
The last time I called out the Clifford guy and with a few clicks on his laptop all was good again. So bought the Cliffnet wizard just in case it happened again...it did.
I started off reprogramming the remote and checking the inputs on the relevant page, all was good. Then I set the RPM starting threshold and made sure that was reading OK. I had no put the pulse/rev 20 3 to read a realistic RPM of 800. Was that correct? I also calibrated the battery voltage to what my meter read with teh engine off.
I then went to the monitor page and went through the process, the intellistart activated with the 2 winks and the box filled in Red. I took out the key, great all good so far. Got out the car and armed it. The engine DID NOT STOP. I randomly tried all sorts but to no avail.
On the monitoring page I noticed the BELOW IDLE was filled in Red, is this correct?
Also what is the 'retained accessory power off/on' do? Anything else I have missed?
Hope you can help out one of your buddies from across the pond
Lee
PS on the starter view page I could pulse the starter motor but never get start...

Funny I've had the same Intellistart in 5 different cars now. I've no idea what a DC5 is so if you're using a G5 alarm, through away the Wiz and program RPM manually.
Wiz is bloody useless with G5 product.
Yes I haven't a bloody clue what you are talking about.
Retained ACC if correctly wired will hold on your ACC for 20 minutes on a G4, 10 on a G5 or until you open a door.
The original owner of Clifford invented the EPROM. This is a non volatile chip which therefore holds its settings even when power is removed, hence my first comment.

And what's a DC5?
DC4 and 6 were Douglas airplanes in the 1940s.

Thanks for your response Howie. A DC5 is a Honda Integra Import.
I will programe the RPM with the remote then and try that. But I would have thought that if the RPM was not set up right the engine would cut off. But its staying on after I arm the intellistart and remove the key. It just wont shut off when I get out the car and arm it.
Yes its the G5, a 650 MK II.

If the tach isn't set right you will get one of two things, either the starter grinding or it runs for 15 seconds.
I assume you're talking about manual transmission reservation set, again points to tach.
It should shut down within three seconds of arming.
I suspect a faulty unit or wiring.
Do all the door triggers work on the alarm?
Apart from some of the batch sold about a year ago the 650 Mk ll is the default unit for most of us.
And in your first post you didn't "call out the Clifford guy" you called out your installer, I would never have used the Wiz, I'd have gone straight to wire test with a meter.

No grinding, and it runs on longer the 15 seconds. Just runs on and on. I can pulse the starter with the 'wizz' but never start it.
The wiring hasn't changed since it was installed.
Yes, if you open the doors you see the input on the input/output page.
I called out the guy who installed the intellistart as that was retro fitted. GAP did the original install 5 years ago when the car was imported.
So, in a nutshell all I can try is to programme the RPM manually?
Thanks for your help so far.

If it was GAP 10 years ago it would have been me.
Either a faulty unit, extremely unlikely, badly wired, did it work originally?
Also check the 5 amp fuse on the thin red wire to the I/Start.
