Hello all. I wish to add a door lock/unlock button inside the rear cargo area. The car has power locks but no keyless entry, remote start or alarm system. I hope to gain the ability to open the hatch with the key, place items in the cargo area and unlock the passenger doors before closing hatch. When I arrive home I retrieve items and lock all doors from the rear instead of having to again open a passenger door to press the lock switch. Can I splice into the driver door switch duplicating it or should I do so elsewhere? Should I use a factory lock switch.

Keyless Entry Units are pretty cheap and easy to Install. Might be the way to go... Most Shops do them for $129-$179 Installed. Just a thought... Have you had this car since it was new, if not, is there a chance it DID come with Keyless and you just didn't get a remote?

Thanks Tommy. Keyless is nice but I'd rather have the switch. I don't mind the work but don't know which wire to splice and where. I have owned the car since new and it is not equipped with keyless entry.
