I've just finished (well almost) a Viper 350 plus alarm and I have one issue. The doors do not lock. Everything else works.
The problem is I can't figure out where to put the wires for the door harness.

I was using this site as a reference and it looks like I'm suppose to use the pink/white wire for both the unlock and lock on the door harness for the Viper alarm.
Power Door Lock Negative Wire (-): Pink/White (1-Wire Door Lock System). Lock requires a (-) negative through a 1,000 ohm resistor. Unlock requires a straight (-) negative, some units will require 2 extra relays.
Power Door Lock Negative Wire Location: In Drivers Kick Panel
Power Door Unlock Negative Wire (-): Same Wire As Above
Power Door Unlock Negative Wire Location: N/A

Page 10 shows the door harness diagram, it's basically two wires...blue and green.
Green (-) Lock, (+) Unlock Output
Empty Unless Using 451M
Blue (-) Unlock, (+) Lock Output
I've tried connecting both the green and blue from the Viper to the pink/white wire and this causes both buttons to lock. I see that I'm suppose to use a 1000 ohm resistor for the lock but is it suppose to be connected to the pink/white wire? blue and green (with 1000 ohm resistor) to pink/white?

There are a couple ways you can go about this.
1) If you have a factory alarm or even if you don't, see if these wires exist:
Factory Alarm Arm WHITE/ purple or lt GREEN/ black - DKP or 26 pin plug @ GEM
Factory Alarm Disarm blue/lt green - DKP or 26 pin plug @ GEM
If so then connect your factory alarm arm / disarm wires from the unit to these wires.
2) If you don't have the factory alarm wiring, you will have to get a 451m relay or 2 relays. The ground output of the alarm is not strong enough to unlock through the resistor. Once you get the 451m or the 2 relays let me know and I will give you the wire diagram for whichever option you go with.

Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

Thanks. It worked.
I went with the green wire on the harness without the 1k ohm resistor (didn't work with it) to the WHITE/ purple and the blue wire on the harness to the pink/white wire (tried to the blue/green and it didn't work)
I tried a few different combinations and it that's the one that worked. If I used the 1k ohm resistor on the pink/white (door lock/unlock wire) it worked but then I need to get the unlock to work. In any case everything worked out. Thanks a lot.

I have one more question about this install. I'm putting everything back and its a pain to get the ignition key guide/butterfly back on. This is the plastic piece that goes over the ignition cylinder giving your key a larger grip when turning the car on. Is there a trick to get that on? Do I have to remove the cylinder?
