I just installed the Python 1401 on my car, when I press the unlock button, it's unlock and then lock immediately. sounds like the wire is grounded then opened immediately. maybe the diode doesnt work?

Here is the diagram that I did:

What car? Some operate in the reverse of that diagram, it shows open circuit lock and ground unlock, yours might be ground to lock and open circuit unlock. TEST.

If I remember Nissans might be the reverse.
Physically test with all doors bar the driver's closed and the catch at the back of the door thrown over, ground the wire with the doors unlocked that should lock, i.e. NEG to lock then cut the wire (RED / yellow on Nissan?) that should unlock.
If it's the reverse it's as the diagram.

Sorry, trying to eliminate the obvious.
Do you have a factory key fob that works correctly and did you copy that diagram to include the diode?

Also disconnect the lock and unlocks, either from the 1401 or at the relay, whichever's easier and try grounding each. If that works the 1401 is at fault.

50 volts? Great the EMP generated voltage is about 200!
Use a 1N4004.
Also use a 1N4004 on both lock and unlock wires.

with the diodes installed and the alarm disconnected did you try the physical test on the lock and unlock wires by grounding each in turn with the other door closed and the catch at the back of the door thrown over?
