Hey guys just about to start the install on a 2007 Mazda 3, but curious to know what power wires to use. I know at the ignition there is a red and BLACK/ red wire both fused at 30amp. My 5701 has 3 constant wires fused at 30, the main 15amp power wire, then a 5amp wire for a relay.

On previous Toyotas I've worked on there was a thick white wire providing power to the inside fuse box that I used, but can't find anything like that here.

Is it okay to use the two power wires at the ignition, I don't want to over load anything.

Thanks for your help!!!!!

Anyone? If you don't know where to get a bigger power wire what are your thoughts on using the ones at the ignition? I read a installation guide where a guy used the ignition wires but just hooked two 30amp wires up to a 30amp ignition wire.

Thoughts?

Okay new question hopefully someone can shine some lights on. Since mazda has the worse door triggers ever, I'm hoping to just use the dome light wire, I tested that it will work fine. But when the car shuts off, the dome light comes on.

So if I remote start, then shut off the remote starter, or it times out, will the dome light come on setting off the alarm??

The 5701 can be programmed for open door triggers

Divide up the power wires going to the two circuits in the ignition harness. I would do the red 30, red 15, and 5 amp to one circuit, and the RED / white and RED / black to another.
