Hey guys, little confused on normally open and normally closed trigger wires.

I'm doing an install on my 07 Mazda 3 which has normally closed trigger wires (I think), yet because my Viper 5701 has the programming option to selected n/c I don't think there is the need to use this diagram https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=1020

Would it work to diode isolate all 4 door triggers (stripe towards door) and then connect to (-) door trigger input on brain, and program to n/c instead of n/c?

I've been trying to research this but am coming up with little to nothing. I originally planned to just use Dome Light wire, but hate doing that. Could this also be the reason for discontinuing the DTI-Mazda?

Thanks

The only N.C. trigger I see on the 5701 is the Hood Pin Trigger. The door triggers are a N.O. negative or positive trigger.

The N.C. wire of the doors show a ground connection when the doors are closed. If the door trigger wire shows 12v positive when the doors are opened, you can diode isolate them and connect them all to the positive door trigger input on the Viper.

Otherwise, you may have to use the dome light wire.
