TacomaWorld Link to Issue
Disconnected the battery, attempted an inverter mod, reconnected battery, alarm went off, and truck won't start. I've reconnected all wiring back to factory, but can't figure out how to reset the alarm system to allow the truck to start. It's the Toyota "upgraded security system". All other electronics appear to be functioning as they should. Please see this link for what I've attempted (end of this post):
Trouble Shooting
I think I've found the fuse for the alarm system, or maybe just for the shock sensor. It's a 10A fuse, which would be pretty big for just the sensor, but not certain. Would pulling this reset the alarm, or does it have some other internal battery to retain memory after main power loss?
Have you tried putting the key in the driver door and unlocking to disarm the alarm? Not sure if it works on the new Toyota's or not, but its worth a shot.

Yup, I tried activating/deactivating the alarm with the key in the driver door, along with using the key fob. Unfortunately, neither has worked so far.
Any idea if most vehicle immobilizer systems must be reset at the dealership? I believe the alarm system/immobilizer was tripped and preventing the truck to start. The vehicle still recognizes my key because the immobilizer indicator stops blinking when the key is inserted to the steering column.
That's odd because most new toyotas are disarmed with keysense and immobilizer....

That's what is really throwing me off. It seems like with the right key, arming/disarming with the fob, and doing everything else I've tried should allow the truck to start. I'm not sure if Toyota changed something for the 2013 model or not.
