I'm doing a remote start on a 2012 Hyundai Santa fe and the door locks are not responding when I use the RS key fob after hitting the lock button in the car.

Common problem with most Hyundai products, you need a copy of document 1300 from directechs. It shows how to wire them correctly using a relay and 3 diodes.
