HI all need some advice

Have just had my avant-guard 5.5 Removed from one car with the intention of getting it refitted to another car however been looking around and im liking the look of some of the viper Stuff like the 5904 and Smart Start

What are the pros and cons of not having the Clifford Installed vs the Viper 5904 ?

can all the additional sensors from the Avant-guard be used on the Viper or does it come with all the same bits

help lol

Viper, Clifford and Python have equivalents of the same system.

The Viper 5904 is the 5904v
Python's version is the 594 or 5904p
Clifford's version is 590.4x or 5904x

All use the same brain and therefore have the same features. It's just a matter of preference. DEI, the parent company, have different names to distribute via different channels (eg Dealers, Retailers, etc).

With that said, if money is not an issue, I would definitely upgrade to a newer model with more bells and whistles on it. The 5904 has 2 sensor ports that you can wire a bunch of sensor into if you know how to (make sure to diode iosolate to prevent falsing or interference).

The G5 Avantguard is a very nice system that has almost the same features of the newer models but i believe it's not a 2-way system and may not have the same range. Myself personally, I would get the 5904 from Clifford or Python and just wire in the current sensors to it.

59XX series not available in the UK so you won't have any guarantees.
IMO experience Clifford G5 has less features than Viper but is far more stable and reliable.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
