I'm about to hook up a Python 5303P on my 2001 Chevy Silverado. I have hooked up remote starts before but it has been awhile. There are a couple wires in question. Is there anyone that can list the wires in each harness and what wire it hooks up too in my truck.

I don't want to sound rude but if you search this site, there are plenty of posts that show this popular vehicle with various Viper systems being installed in them.

Please let us know if you need help after you sort thru the search results. There are even posts with pictures that show you the actual wires and where they are located.

You will also need a bypass. You can buy one from idatalink or Fortin.

There is a group of wires called Relay Satellite 4-pin connector. I'm not sure what to do with these wires

1 BLUE____(-)200mA___STATUS OUTPUT
2 ORANGE_(-)200mA___ACCESSORY RELAY TURN ON
3 PURPLE_(-)200mA___STARTER RELAY TURN ON
4 PINK____(-)200mA___IGNITION RELAY TURN ON

Do I need to hook up any of these wires since I'm not adding any relays? The BLUE status output wire sounds like something i might want to have hooked up.

You could use the Pin 2 Orange (-)ACC Output to control a relay to power the trucks' ACC2 Brown wire.

The Pin 1 Blue wire could be used to control the bypass module, if you don't go D2D with it.

The other wires will not be used.
