Trying to find the lock wire on an 2005 escape. Says Pink and white. No pink or white wire in the drivers kick or at the GEM module. Thanks

The Escape has a one-wire lock system.  The wire you are looking for is Pink wire  with a White stripe.  You can locate it with a DMM set to 20V DC. Connect the
Red test lead to +12V constant and the Black test lead to the suspect wire.  You should see the DM go to +12V with an Unlock command.

Here is some more info from Ready Remote :

Power Lock       pink/white  (-) driver kick or SJB, conn. D, pin 22
Power Unlock    same as power lock wire

Lock is negative trigger thru a 1,000 ohm resistor. Unlock is a straight negative trigger. MUST use relays.

The SJB (Smart Junction Box) is the fuse/relay box on the passenger side of the center console.

Depending on the R/S system you are using, beside the 1k ohm resistor you might need relays or go the easy way and use a DEI 451M module.
