hello techs i need one word about this car,i will do a remote starter avital 4103 with ads al ca bypass what i need to know is if this car is a difficult car to do or not anything than i need to know before i start this work , and on the idatalink   ads al ca type 2 methodo if i get connected the j1850 wire what is a orange to purple , do i still to have the yellow wire passlock connected? what is yellow to yellow thanks a lot

Per the diagram from the ADS-AL CA moduel for install type 2, you will need to install the orange data wire from the ADS to the purple wire on pin-2 of the OBD connector. You would also need to connect the yellow Passlock wire from the module to the yellow passlock wire running alonside the steering column.

It's a very easy vehicle to do especially with the ADS-AL CA. I did a couple of 2006 models earlier this year. Nothing complicated. There is a nice place to tuck the remote starter just to the right of the ignition wires up high out of the way of everything else.

I did a 2005 Equinox a few weeks ago and I agree with shortcircuit161, very easy install to do and lots of room to work in. I installed mine with a DB-ALL. The biggest pain was the center consel where the BCM is located. All of the wires I needed were accessable. A bit tight but workable.
