Heads up on the 2013 Edge. The key cant be cloned til the dealer unlocks that option. idata link tells me that we should take it to the dealer to unlock this opt to program a key. Has any1 else run into this? and did the dealer help you? If so can you put up the details of what the dealer did. Our dealer in this area is not much help. (They say they dont know how)

Keep in mind im not asking to program a key like older fords. This is an 80bit key

I just did a 2012 Edge last weekend using a DB-ALL. It was a 80 bit key. I verified it. Had no problems with the bypass programing.

Ive done plenty of 12s,,the 2013 has all the same wire colors, but has programable options settings (enable or disable), and its disabled from the factory. Needs a scan tool to enable.

Just found out the 2013 fusion is the same way and the factory has no replacement keys yet.

Went to a good dealer today for this 13 Edge. They let me come back and show them what i needed. They did not know how to do this.

Needs hooked to scan tool
Then go in to Pats key
Then Enable key learn
it ask "do you want to learn a new key"
select yes and then you can learn new keys.

All works good now

I guess this is so the car comes back to the dealership, so they can sell the junk Code Alarm Ford RS to our customers.
