Go and buy a hood pin switch for $ 0.99 and hook up the hood pi switch. The hood pin switch is a vital part of the system that will protect the hood area and also protect anyone who is working on the car from accidental starts if a remote starter is installed. Wire up the unit properly with all connection going where they are supposed to go and you'll find that you will have less troubles in the future when you have to triuble shoot for problems.
