Greetings all!!

\Well, remote start season is almost in full swing, so I thought I'd try to install one in my 97 impreza. Everything went good, or so I thought lol

I put a prostart 3271 in it, and it is doing everything it is supposed to do except start by remote. I can get it into ready mode no problem, but when I try to start it, the dash lights up, the accessories power up, but no crank. Then it shuts down. Flashes the park lights slowly 3 times and that's it. I was certain that it didn't learn the tach, so I tried the wire on the coil, and an injector wire, but no go..

I've done many of these last year, but now this one has me stumped!

Thanks.

Test the outputs from the Prostart.
There's also tach from behind the instrument panel, I believe GREEN/ red.
Very easy car to do once you find tach.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

to start troubleshooting, determine what the 3 flashes mean first

All circuits should be verified with a digital multi-meter prior to making any connections.

The only cars that need go into "ready mode" are manual trans cars.

If it's manual trans, did you hookup the clutch bypass?

Also, if you start it with the key and try to have the remote starter take over, will the car stay running once you remove the key?

If it's a manual trsns, press the clutch all the way down and try to remote start it.
