2001 tacoma viper 5704

Hi everyone. I need some help on the remote start wire connections for this unti. I have seen the diagrams but im somewhat confused...Heres what i got...

H3/1 (+) igntion 1 input/output   ====== BLACK/ red     
H3/2 (+) fused 30a Ignition 2/ flex relay input 87 ===== BLACK / YELLOW
H3/3 (+) accessory output ======= blue/red
H3/4 (+) starter output car side ====== blackwire car side
H3/5 (+) starter input key side ======blackwire key side
H3/6 (+) fused 30a Igntion 1 input ====== Does this also connect to BLACK/ red since its IGN 1?
H3/7 (+) igntion 2 / flex relay output ====== Does this also connect to BLACK / YELLOW since its IGN 2?
H3/8 (+) flex relay input 87a key side ====== I dont think i need?
H3/9 (+) fused 30a accessory/starter input ====== I dont think i need? But what would it be for?
H3/10 no connection ======no connection

So there is my connections. Im confused why there is 2 IGN wires for both ign's. And what if ign 1 and ign 2 wires are reversed will it matter?

While im asking, why does it take 2 presses to get the doors to lock? it acts like 1 press is just alarm, and 2 press is lock. I have tried changing it to a "double pulse" setup in the programming, however then it just sounds like it is hitting the lock button twice with each press.

Thanks for your help. I do have one question though..the "white" wire appears to be a constant 12v wire. (same with WHITE/ red)
From what i understand the ignition wire should be negative when the key is out. So therefore im confused is this the correct wire to use
in the above list?

H3/2 (+) fused 30a Ignition 2/    ====== White

H3/9 (+) fused 30a accessory/starter input  ====== White

I noticed these are all fused wires which make me think its supposed to be to 12v constant. (like you described) or
should 3/2 and 3/6 be true igntion wires?

It's correct. The wires you listed are all inputs or constant power supplies.
Ignition 1 supplies the power for the ignition system on starting.
Ignition 2 supplies injectors and HVAC DON'T mix them up.
If you don't power up H3/9 it simply won't start.
What part of ACC STARTER don't you understand.

Im sure your right, i was just saying i was confused becuase i was looking for an ignition wire (which would test netural with key out)
not 12v constant wires. :) I appreciate your guys help...im about to go finish hooking this up now so ill let you know in a bit.

What wires are you using for the door locks?  Here is some info from DEI with a testing note :
Power Lock        Gray (-)        @ front of fuse box, 22 pin plug  
Power Unlock    Purple (-)     @ front of fuse box, 22 pin plug

These wires will test only by operating the key in the passenger door lock cylinder, not the rocker switch on the door.

Right, which is why i was confused  to these wires..

H3/2 (+) fused 30a Ignition 2/ ====== White

They "say" ignition in the description...but you guys say hook them to 12v constant. ?

So I have everything hooked up except the hood pin. When i remote start the truck it imeddiately dies. I have it set in tach mode, and i have learned the tach as well. Any ideas?

No confusion, note the word in each of the above, INPUT.
By-pass?
Leave the key in the ignition (turned off) then try.
If not check your outputs, starter ign 1 and 2 etc.
See that they correspond to the wires Kregg mentioned.
Also check the voltage between the your unit ground and each fuse.

It works!! It was a ground. Thanks for everyone's help here it was much appreciated. I just have to button everything
up under the dash tomorrow and install my hood pin and brake switch..(which looks like its going to be a pain to
get to...

Pick up the brake switch wire in one of the floor looms, trace it forward from the colour at the bulb, probably GREEN / WHITE.

Any ideas to why my hood pin doesnt set my alarm off? It gives me the report on the fob that its open
if i set the alarm with it open. However if i set the alarm with it closed..then let go of the pin it doesnt go
off?
