Hey guys

I've got a authorized viper installer who has done a few of my friends Subarus and he seems to be pretty good. I'm going to get him to install a 5904, but I'm iffy on the bypass.

The bypass he uses for pts vehicles require you to lose a key. I rather not do it that way so I'm been researching some newer modules. I know xpresskit came out with a new firmware for the db-all, but I always hear horror stories of it having so many problems or not lasting long. Should I be looking to get this unit or should just go with a idatalink or fortun unit?

If I do go with the db-all unit, do I need a separate door lock module? I see on amazon it comes with a gm door locking module so it kind of got me confused. on their site it shows the features of each bypass and under door locking there's not dot, so if anyone can chime in on this that'd be great. Thanks!

Just stick with ADS or Fortin.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
