you havent told us what you are trying to install in said volt... radio, tv, alarm, remote start, etc...?

I figured under the heading Alarms/remote start. that i didnt need to,,,but yes a remote start

Ahh... but its 'Security and Convenience'... so that could include back up camera, push button ignition, etc.

Volts have remote start from the factory... but maybe that's only if the OnStar subscription is still active.
