hi i got a question about a remote start on vw passat,i just did one r/s on 2001 vw passat and what happening is the factory alarm disar unlocks the drivers door ,and it do not re lock the door after the remote start ,so i cut off the factory alarm disarm and ok no unlock any more but the car does a quick horn ,then stops and the car start ok no problem but that sound the horn does its anoyng but or it or unlock door? thanks any advice

If the single horn honk really bothered you and you had some time and some money to spend...

You could interrupt one of the two wires ( preferably the + ) going to the cars horn ( hopefully only one horn )
with a DEI 528T module. Wire as follows :
BLACK W/STRIPE -       R/S Disarm Output
BLACK - GROUND
RED -       +12 VDC
ORANGE 87A     One side of cut vehicle horn wire
BROWN 87         Not Used - insulate
YELLOW 30        Other side of cut horn wire

Set 528T to 5 seconds. This would interrupt ( open ) to vehicles horn circuit for 5 seconds after a remote starter's
Disarm pulse.

hello kreg very nice to talk to you again and its a very good think the 528t but how about if i try to get the factory alarm disarm wired on the unlock wire let it disarm and unlock the door ,and the factory alar rearm wired on the lock wire,and see if it will re lock the door ?think it works? i just have this idea today ,thanks a lot

Are you sending a single pulse to the cars' Unlock wire or a double pulse?

single pulse,i did not program to double pulse unlock be cause that,but what do you think about rearm factory alarm wire with the lock wire ?thanks
