2012 ford focus door lock setup

Guys,

Here are the details: 2012 Ford Focus STD Key Hatchback AT, Autopage RS 625, Idatalink by pass.

What I am wondering is since it is a STD key and not PTS the door locks need to be hard wired in. Everywhere I look they are telling me that it is a single wire (type B) door lock. They also tell me that to lock the door you need to momentarly ground the wire once and to unlock you ground it twice. So if anyone can help me out with a wiring diagram or explain to me how I would wire this up that would be a GREAT help! I am kind of lost on how I would go about wiring this.

I am finding conflicting info.


Per Directwire -

Power Lock      GREEN/ purple (driver door key cylinder)      opn (typF)      BCM, brown 60 pin plug (B), pin 55
Notes: The BCM (Body Control Module) is the dash fuse box, behind the glove box.

On vehicles with one-touch up/down power windows, it is black (open lock, - unlock (type F)) at the Driver Door Module, black 22 pin plug, pin 19.

Power Unlock      same as power lock      - (type F)      
Notes: The BCM (Body Control Module) is the dash fuse box, behind the glove box.

Type F require a relay to break the wire to unlock and a straight ground pulse to lock.

Relay for unlock would be setup like this -
Pin 86 - 12v constant
Pin 85 - Unlock trigger wire
Pin 87 - not used
Pin 87a - car side of lock wire
Pin 30 - BCM side of lock wire

For the lock function, connect the lock wire from the Autopage with a diode (stripe toward the Autopage) to the lock on the BCM side (same wire as Pin 30 of the relay.



Per Omega -

Lock     BROWN (-) ALTERNATES LOCK/UNLOCK     AT SWITCH OR BCM - BLUE 60 PIN CONNECTOR PIN # 55
Unlock     BROWN (-) ALTERNATES LOCK/UNLOCK     AT SWITCH OR BCM - BLUE 60 PIN CONNECTOR PIN # 55

If that's the case, one pulse would lock it, the next pulse would unlock it.

You would need 2 diodes (bands facing the Autopage) on each lock and unlock wire. Connect both wires with the diodes to the single brown wire.

I highly doubt this one is correct since the factory keyless entry fob has a lock and unlock button that work independently of each other. I would go with the Directwire info first. The best way to test if it's F (regardless of the wire color) is to cut it. If the doors unlock, then it's Type F.


I know you already have the idatalink bypass module but Fortin has updated their EVO-ALL module to include door lock control via data on all newer Fords.

Does Fortin work like Idatalink does with Autopage?

Idatalink module and the Fortin modules controls the door locks FYI. The locations of the locks are detailed in their wiring instructions. If your using a key in the box type installation then use the Directechs information since it's easier to grab the wires behind the glove box anyways.

I got it figured out. With the ADS-CA you are able to control the door locks. All I have to do is install the FM4 firmware onto the by pass. That will take care of my problems. Thanks for the help!

Only thing with the iDatalink and the 80 bit keys is that you have to Klon the bypass. Otherwise, use the Fortin bypass if you dont have a Weblink updater account and USB cable.
