Good Morning,
Been a while since I installed a remote start system, I have a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe & a 2010 Elantra. My question is about disarming the factory alarm on the Santa Fe, will it disarm with the aftermarket remote start unit? And is there a good bypass for the Elantra, actually i'm not even sure it has a transponder key, it's not a smart key. I'm going to home depot to try one of their 1.29 plain keys to see if it starts.

No US made Hyundai's have an immobilizer.
Here is the factory security wiring for the Santa Fe:
Factory Alarm Arm blue (driver door key lock) - driver kick, door harness
Factory Alarm Disarm pink/black (driver door key unlock) double - driver kick, door harness
And the Elantra:
Factory Alarm Arm green (key lock), blk/org (lock/unlock detection) - and open driver kick, gray 39 pin plug, pins 23 and 2
Factory Alarm Disarm yel/grn (key unlock), blk/org (lock/unlock detect) both - driver kick, gray 39 pin plug, pins 6 and 2
For the Elantra, search for the Tech Doc 1300

Thanks for the info, I didn't think the Elantra had one. As for the Santa Fe i remember thinking about it when I first bought it and was told there was no way to disarm the security with the remote start. If you don't mind my asking what is your opinion of idatalink products? I used to use stuff from bypasskit.com, now Xpresskit?

I like idatalink products more. The problems I have with Xpresskit is I get it all wired in go to program it and nothing.The Idatalinks work the first time. I have had some Xpresskits work but we will see. I got one to do this weekend. And I recommend if you used Xpresskits do them in W2W that way you can test when it doesnt work.

I'll second that, I will only use idatalink now.
Like lucasoil4u said.....they just work!
The only time I ever had a major issue with one was the first starter I ever did, turns out the guy who programmed it programmed it for the wrong data type.
After that I went and bought a programming cable and haven't had any problems since.
The programming process is super simple and strait forward.
And if you do run into any issues the tech support guys are fantastic.

Hyundais are super easy, very straightforward installs.
iDatalink rocks!! Like everyone says, works the first time, every time. I used to be strictly DEI until I had a few DBALLs and XK05s not program correctly. Never again!
Fortin has some great modules too!!
US built Hyundais with standard keys don't have immobilizers in them. Only the ones with the smart keys.
You shouldn't need any bypass modules for either vehicle.
The easiest way to check if you have a chipped key is wrap the head of the key in aluminum foil and try starting the car. If it stays running, no chip in the key.  -------------

I am a retailer of idatalink products and other than an occasional Fortin, I almost always use idatalink. But like everyone has said, you don't need a bypass for either of those vehicles. And using a bypass won't help you at all since on Hyundai's, they only bypass the immobilizer anyways.
