have an 06 chevy cobalt , automatic , no power windows. Installed a Crimestopper sp-501 2way alarm/remote start with xk06 bypass for the security. My key has the circle with plus in center so hybrid passlock, after installation, everything works fine except the remote start. installed and flashed appropriate firmware for xk06, wired relays to ignition as instructed, but now car will not crank with remote start. accessories come on then nothing then remote start tries 2 more times then quits. I can insert the key, crank the car to start, activate remote start , turn off and remove key and car will stay running for allotted time or until i press remote start button again. My diagram that i received from expresskits does not show the use of a resistor in the relay diagram, but i was told that i needed the resistor and maybe some diodes? I thought that the xk06 took care of both parts of the hybrid system. am i wrong? Relays are wired as following: R1-87 & 86 to 12v constant, 87a-not used, 30 wired to Relay 2 87A, 85 wired to Ground when running (remote start). Relay 2 : 30 to vehicle accessory(Brown wire on green 6plug pin 4), 86 to remote start out from rs unit, 87-not used, 87A-not used. then my ground when running from xk06 to ground when running on Remote start. Here is a crude picture of my setup.

Hi, Eric!

Never used an XK06 on anything ( perfer iDatalink modules ) but...

While it is hard to see on the diagram, it appears you are not following the relay setup shown in the XK06
with PKG7 Section D Figure A.  Specifically, Pin 86 of the right relay should go to vehicle Ignition, not ACC.

In reality, you could use the Section D Figure B setup.  It would be much easier to set the SP501 Pink/White
selectable ignition output to IGN2 and use the Figure B single relay diagram.

Additionally, the XK06 install guide has a note that states :
IMPORTANT: There is no need to connect
the accessory output wire from the remote
starter to vehicle. The PKG7 will take care
of this function.
Accordingly, there is no need for the SP501 Gray ACC wire to be connected to the vehicles Brown ACC wire.

And yes, the XK06 w/PKG7 firmware should bypass both parts of the hybrid "circle +" immobilizer system.

Thanks for the reply,

I Tried to use the section D Figure A and Figure b, but I couldn't get either to work correctly, but after I disconnected everything (relays), I found that the 2amp fuse to passlock was blown.I called xpresskits directly and they are the ones that walked me throught the 2 relay hookup (which was different than the manual). The above drawing was exactly as the technician said.
