I've installed two Alarms with both using the FLTB1 and have the same problem with both so I'm sure it's user error.
1st truck was a 2006 F-150 and the 2nd was a 2010 F-350
Both will remote start with key in but I get the theft light and the flashing red light on the modular when trying without the key.
When programming, I get a sold red light for about 5 seconds after cycling the first key. When I plug the modular in to KLON to replacing the missing 2nd key, I get an error saying something like, unsupported cloning or something like that.
Alarm is a Prestige APS-997C wired "data 2 data" with the FLTB1. TX and RX wires are correct and the pink 12+ ign wire is installed and functional. These are the only 3 wires hooked up according to the instructions. I didn't hook up key sense or ground out while running between the 2 units. I also don't seem to be having an issue with the factory alarm as it will start fine with the key by the ignition so I'm sure it's a programming issue.
I know it's something simple that I'm missing but this is the first time I've had to use a bypass modular so I'm not sure what to try next.

Your supposed to wait until the red light goes off, then hold the program buttonin until the light turns red again, release the button and it will flash green. If you aren't green you aren't done with the first programming.
Also, you aren't supposed to cycle the key but leave it on. Be sure you are following the correct instrucions as it sounds like you may be following the 2 key instructions... ------------- Mike M2

Thank you Mike. You are correct, I was trying to program them per the 2 key instructions and using KLON to replace the 2nd key.
I'll try your solution tomorrow, I knew it had to be something simple.

Klone needs to be done through the computer on the same account they were originally flashed with. The instructions are very detailed and should be followed exactly. Also be sure your rx and T&C wires are soldered, actually make sure all of your wires are soldered.

All wires are soldered. Im pretty confident it was a programming error. 1st time using them so I wasn't aware of the two different programming options. I was just going off the part number and downloading based off that. Just glad I don't have to tear back into the alarm to correct anything.
Thanks again guys for the help.

10 minutes and the right program sheet and everything works as it should.
Thanks again, I could have wasted days and and still never figured it out.
