I installed this alarm in my vehicle and over the course of a couple days have been fine tuning the sensitivity of the 508D. Until today the warn chirps have been audible via the siren and remote but today I adjusted the sensor and now only the remote alarms when I get near the vehicle. Not sure how the alarm got in silent warn mode but does anyone know how to make it Audible again?

Thanks!

No one?

I have played with the remote setting the various silent arm/disarm modes but cannot make the silent warn away audible again.

This alarm has two sensor inputs and I have switched the 508D to the first sensor connector but still only the remote warns, this time with a sensor one alert.

I already had a factory alarm installed and wanted the Viper mainly for the proximity warning to discourage thieves and this makes all my work for nothing.

I think its obvious but have you checked the siren itself (?) by doing an instant trigger.

there is also such feature: Nuisance Prevention (NPC)

Sensors that trigger excessively are bypassed and reported to the
remote via Sensor Status icon in the Status Screen.

Thanks for replying.

I do need to check the instant trigger for the 508d to make sure that is fully audible but the siren works as expected for arm/disarm and full siren when the door a opened.

The NPC I feel is not a factor as the silent warn away occures the first time the 508d is activated and turning on the ignition does not reset this state.

Also moving the 508d to another sensor port changes the reported sensor number but still only silent warns. That is a good point though that I should check the full alarm state of the 508d
