I'm in the process of shaving the handles on my 1996 Impala SS. I know it would easier to do if I have the alarm open the driver's door with the unlock/disarm function but, I want the ability to open each door from the remote. I was thinking about using a controller from AVS with 8 or 12 channels and installing an alarm to be armed by it.

Any ideas that might help?

I would configure this setup like this:

1st unlock - opens drivers door, and disarm the alarm
2nd unlock - opens passenger door (you need to use eg. AUX4 for this)

AUX1 - unlocks left rear door
AUX2 - unlocks right rear door

AUX3 - pops the trunk lid open

lock button - locks all the door locks, and arms the system
