Hello. I am going to be installing a crimestopper RS in a 2012 VW Jetta. I have everything planned out and have both the wiring diagram posted on this site, and one that I got with my Fortin module. The RS has 2 12 volt power wires. Fortin support says to combine those and connect them to the RED / Yellow wire at the ignition switch in the Jetta. The wiring info on this site says use the RED / Yellow at the VESCM (fuse box). I am pretty sure this is the same wire, but wasn't sure if the 2 remote start wires will pull too much current from that one 12 volt wire at the ignition. Fortin says no problem at all. I just know that some ignitions now are low current systems and I am worried. Suggestions? Should I just run the power wires right to the battery to be safe?

The power at the switch is red, 10 pin plug/pin 1. It is rated 10 amps. Plenty to start the car but since you probably need positive lights on this car i would go to the fuse box. Directed says...

The VESCM (Vehicle Electrical System Control Module) is the relay box under the driver dash. On premium models, they are red (40A), RED / yellow (40A) at the VESCM, black 52 pin plug, pin 1 and brown 52 pin plug, pin 42.

...use one of these...
