I am installing a Viper 5704 into a customer’s vehicle and I cannot get the parking light output to work. I have installed the jumper into the positive jumper. I want the alarm to output 12v to the vehicle to make the lights flash. Now the problem I am having is once you arm the alarm there is 12v constant at the parking light output (H1/5), it stays on constantly. The only way to get the output to stop is to disconnect power to the brain. Any ideas?

I have the wire not connected at this point. I will connect its to the green parking light wire, I just wanted to make sure the output was correct before I connected the output from the alarm control module.

I would guess that this would be a pulsed output from the brain. Any help would be much appreciated.

DId you test the parking light (Green+) wire with a DMM?  Did you set the 10amp fuse inside the Viper brain to (+)?  I would check the output of the Vipers parking light wire, if it is constant 12 volts, something is not right with the brain.

I do not have the light output wire connected to the vehicle at this point. I know the vehicle needs 12v + to make the lights work. I have the jumper in the 12v + place on the brain and all I get is 12v constant coming out of the H1/5 wire (parking light output).

Found the issue to be a faulty brain. Replaced and everything is working correctly.
