Hi everyone,

I have installed a Viper 5204 in my 2000 Saturn SL and went pretty much without incident. I would like to test everything before I begin mounting, however. I have all the connections made that I thought were necessary but as of right now, I do not think the controller is actually powering up. I have tried to follow the instructions to pair the remote with the receiver, but I am not able to complete the task. I never see the blue LED on the Control Center illuminate.

I do not have the siren hooked up at this time.

Here is how I connected my system:

I have a feeling the problem lies in the fact that the module is not sensing that I am turning the key to the "on" position as the instructions tell me to do. I am not sure I have the "starter kill" wires in the correct location. Can anyone offer any advice?

Since u hooked up the neutral safety input to the ebrake when u try to active the module do you have the ebrake in the up position cuz that neutral safety wire has to see a ground signal for the module to work so I would just connect the neutral safety to ground at first just to check the unit and there is an on off switch that's to be plugged in and be in the on position for the module to be remote start feature to function ... Hope this helps

Have u verified your wires in the car with a meter?? Starter kill wires has no bearing on your problem.

I would start from step 1 and retraced each step.

Check your fuses and make sure you've properly connected all the12v wires.

Also be sure to check all your connections with a meter.
1 loose or incorrect connection can cause hours and hours of headaches.

When looking over the Heavy gauge harness I see alot of issues going on. Iginition Output goes to the ignition wire not 12V.
Brake Shutdown needs to be connected! Very important safety feature. I would suggest reading the install manual a couple times and reposting what you think should be hooked up to what. and we can go from theree.
