Hi!

WE hooked up my new viper 5704 alarm today but one thing i dont understand

With my original keyless entry remote i lock up and the domelight will light for some time then turn off

And when i lock the car the dome light will turn off, its on a time relay i think

When o hooked up the domelight supervisison cable from the viper alarm it wont turn on or off the light

What is my problem?

If I'm not mistaken on most Japanese vehicles you don't need to integrate the aftermarket system to the domelight supervision wire ,when the lock or unlock is used on the viper remote the domelight operates just as when you use the factory remote

You need to connect H2/7 to a white wire at the light switch as per the DEI instructions.
Out of interest is this unit officially sold in Sweden or did you import it.
The reason being that the UK importers won't bring in the 900mhz kit.

Its imported  from the Us

We tried alot otday ending up giving up.

The problem is that with the original remote the light goes out after a few sec when locked.

And stays on for a while when i unlock with original remote

When we c onnected the yellow/black cable nothing happend, at all...

Also we cant get the bilinkers to blink around the veicle, since the car is imported we dont use the parkinglights and turnsignal as in the US.

Tried to connect it to the Hazardlight but only the two rear binkers blinks

Bobfist, why do I think from this forum that if you want this correctly installed, you either go to London Ontario or London UK or Moscow Russian Fed.
Why are there no competent installers outside of the US, Canada or the UK?
Please don't tell me this was a pro install.
If it was they would know that you need to pick up 4 indicator lights at the steering column loom.
Anyway my original advice still stands, white lead at lighting switch for dome supervision.

I dindt mean it that way.

The MOT overhere wants some lights to light and someones not when the car is imported.

They also add small blinkers on the side front fenders

Thats way i having the problems with the blinkers.

I found all four at the steering column but still no more blinkers than at the rear

I'm fully aware of the different EU and state regs. on lighting.
If correctly changed for Europe, all 4 corners should flash AMBER and these on most converted US vehicles are picked up at the steering column loom.
