I have a Commando Car Alarm (FM-870)link here that I installed myself about 7 years ago that's worked pretty good (except the tail lights don't come on when starting but anyway) but otherwise it does what I ask it to do.
As of yesterday, the remote starter key fob does NOT open the doors. It WILL lock the doors but not unlock. I have to get a new battery for my vehicle's (2002 4Runner) original key fob and will report back if THAT opens the doors but I wanted to see if anyone had some input into why this is all of the sudden NOT unlocking the doors.
I've contacted Commando but they are slow to respond.
Some other info:
-it's been really cold here in Iowa lately (about 8 for a high)
-vehicle is parked primarily in garage. The Commando would unlock while parked in garage though.
Thanks for your help!
Andy

Does it unlock with the key or at the lock button?
If not the car has a fault not your R/S.
Also check that your unlock wire is going to NEG on unlock.

-------------
Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

it unlocks with the key and buttons (luck/unlock) on door. Would have to dig around to find that wire and get back to you on the last question.
