Hi,

I'm new to car security, but I've done my fair share of research before I start wiring everything up. I just need someone here to take a bit of time to confirm my understanding and answer a few questions so I don't blow something up. =)

I'm about to spend next week wiring two 530T for auto window up/down plus integration into my Clifford Matrix 12.5x (to vent, roll windows down/up via alarm). This is on a Lexus IS300.

I have a couple questions while looking at the wiring diagram.

1. Where is the ideal location for the modules? I'm thinking of mounting one module on each side of the car, near the fuse box kick panel.
2. Is it ok to use one module for one side of the car? Can I use one module for front-passenger and rear-passenger?
3. Where should I tap for power? Ignition harness or 30A fuse?
4. Can I just combine all three wires (H1/1, H1/5, H1/6) to one ground location?
5. I'm connecting H2/3 RED / WHITE (-) Auxiliary Input to my alarm's WHITE/ BLUE AUX wire using validity mode. Do I need to connect the H2/4 ORANGE (-) Ground-When-Armed wire to another AUX channel or could it just go to the Ground-When-Armed ORANGE wire on my Clifford unit? Reason I ask is because the manual states that the H2/4 wire could also be connected to an AUX channel to roll the window up and I do want this feature.

6. Do I need to connect the H2/5 GRAY (-) Output During Activation wire since I have shock and tilt sensor? If so, where does the relay and wire goto? Ground?

1) You're absolutely correct that's how I do it.
2) Ditto
3) Thick white battery feed to front inst. panel fuse box.
4) Yes
5) That's fine orange GWA from alarm to orange at H2/4
Any of your aux wires can be connected to the RED / white at H2/3.
I would also diode separate the orange wires, 1N4004, band towards alarm.
All above correct because of the way that vehicle's windows are wired, you MUST go to the motor wires in each door.

Thanks!

3) So I have to get power from the battery? Isn't the ignition good enough?
5) So one diode on each orange wire of the 530T modules to GWA (on the alarm)?
6) Any idea about this one?

Yes you're drawing a lot of juice and some people will even take the power lines direct to the battery.
Yes, diode bands towards alarm.
Sorry I missed 6, never used the grey as most alarms have a 10 second "settle" time anyway.
I suggest you try it first, if you need to then:-
Standard 5 pin Bosch/Tycho cube relay.
12v+ constant fused 2 amps to 86.
Grey to 85
Cut the black wire on both sensors, join one side to 30, other side to 87a.
Diode, 1N4004 MANDATORY joining 85 and 86, band to 86.
