I have been looking at getting a few window modules to keep in stock and one of my distributors has the Carbine modules (ALA50-PWC3) for significantly cheaper than I could get the DEI module for (could get about 3 Carbines for the same price as 1 DEI). But as with most things in this industry, you usually get what you pay for. And I would rather spend a little more and sell / install a higher quality part than going with this just because it's cheap.

Anyone have any insight or opinions on the Carbine modules? Any positive or negative experiences?

Bottom line, I've NEVER had any problems with 529ts or 530ts.
Try and get the rep to let you have one as a tester.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

It's not the work vs not work I'm afraid of, but more how long it will work. For the price of them, I wouldn't mind just buying one as a test... but at the moment I don't have anything to test it on... lol. Maybe I'll throw one in the wife's Jeep and see how it works.
