Installed code alarm csm2. Afterwards the gear shift indicator lights flicker in r, d, and 2 nd. Seem to be rpm dependant as to the frequency of the flicker. No check engine light as of now. Shifts and runs fine. I do know code alarm had some issues with feedback current so I blocked the brake input wire.....but dont know if the issue will clear itself. Any help would be appreciated. ....I have been out of this for years.

Is it only after remote starting it or does it do it if you start it with the key? I've always hated Code Alarms ever since we carried them for about 6 months at Circuit City. They were always nothing but problems. I would try disconnecting the parking light wire from the remote starter and see if it continues. Also check to make sure you have a good solid ground.

Does it with or without the key. Seems as if the computer has a code stored. Tried disconnecting all poss prob wires and the batt for 15 mins. Still does it. Don't know if I need to have the code cleared before I can try to diagnose any further.

If it is doing it without the remote start activated (fuses pulled) then it may just be an issue with the vehicle wiring / bulbs. I don't know of any vehicle codes that would make just a few indicator bulbs flicker.

Bad ground on the instrument panel, increase the revs, increase the voltage and that's what's doing it if it does this when the unit is "defused".
Crikey, I've explained that badly ,just shove a thick cable from a good grounding point to the instrument panel ground, set meter to ohms, one side to battery neg, other to selected bolt around dashboard, scrape to bare metal then
ring terminal on the thick cable bolt it down and see what happens.
------------- Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
